Jarvis Cocker's stage invaded at Glastonbury

Plus former Pulp man pays tribute to John Peel during headline slot

Sat 27 Jun, 2009

At first I thought this was a Michael Jackson Brit Awards style stage invasion. I'm suprised to read it wasn't. But the bloke is right. Jarv is god. PS: If that was Jarvis' set then he relied entirely on solo material, not mostly ;) x Wish I was at Glasto :(.

The Long Blondes split up

Band call it a day following guitarist Dorian Cox's illness

Mon 20 Oct, 2008

Gutted. Following on from someone predicting The Rakes would split up...it wouldn't surprise me, their website has spoken of 'new news coming for very soon' for a very long time. And what has happened to the Blood Arm?

Jack White slams Coca Cola for using James Bond song

Guitarist distances himself from an advert that features his song

Sat 13 Sep, 2008

This is typical of Coke. I seem to recall them trying to use Sunrise by Pulp in one of their adverts, and when the band said that they weren't interested because it would go against the whole point of the song, coke decided to just rip it off with a similar sounding track!

Liam Gallagher calls Radiohead fans 'boring and ugly'

The Oasis star also reveals he's taken up jogging

Sun 10 Aug, 2008

Classic comments from a Noel brother. You don't hear of members of Kings of Leon or other good bands criticising different music in a desperate bid to generate some publicity. That is because they ahve allready released more than two top quality albums, meaning they ahve released more than Oasis.I think Liam is out of touch with people and he's desperaste to try and keep his hard man image after his Glasto comments backfired.I'm not a massive fan of Coldplay and Radiohead either to be honest, but Liam is just being a hypocrite. How many times do you hear articles where Liam has praised new bands (I seem to recall him saying he liked The Gossip and I'm sure I read once that he said to Ricky Wilson 'that I Predict A Riot is a tune').Try putting out another top quality album, Liam, and maybe then you can start to have your say. Music speaks louder than words.

Jay-Z: 'Glastonbury controversy is ridiculous'

Rapper says hip-hop 'should be respected like any other art form'

Fri 20 Jun, 2008

I am not a fan of Jay-Z but it doesn't mean to say I think different types of music shouldn't be allowed at Glasto. I don't understand what the problem is. If you don't want to go and see him at Glasto then go to a different stage. The headliners are not the be-all and end-all, they are from it!
