Using electric and acoustic guitar, piano, pump organ, melodica, glockenspiel, voice and various other instruments as a foundation for his compositions, Dag has managed to create his own musical universe. Elements of post rock, drone, improvisation, noise and lo-fi aesthetics mix with a melodic pop sensibility that results in something quite unique. Dag grew up in a strictly religious town in southern Sweden and from an early age he used music as a way to escape from mundane small town life. Initially just a means to preserve ideas, Dag began to record songs onto a 4-track portable cassette recorder and Jasper TX was born. After eventually realising that he could do something more with the recordings he slowly began to refine both his musical ideas and his recording skills. "Jasper TX proves that the grandest of gestures are best realised through the most personal of compositions. Stunning." - Boomkat P Jørgensen  P Jørgensen is a sound artist and composer for both ensemble and film currently based in Copenhagen, Denmark. His second album entitled “To” is released on Low Point on September 14th. Exploring the relationship between composition and chance, Jørgensen created the music for this release by drawing upon a palette of acoustic instrumentation and field recordings which were then transformed via computer processing into luminous textures, crystalline tones and vibrant ambient drones. "...a recording which lends itself equally to rational-analytical dissection and simple immersion. an elegant lulling music of low attack and deferred decay." - Furthernoise Fieldhead  Fieldhead is P. Elam (a resident of Leeds, UK). He produces ambient/electronic music that delights in tape hiss, geography, bleak landscapes and decaying analogue loops. He is also a full time member of The Declining Winter and a part time member of Glissando's Fleeting Glimpse Ensemble. He is assisted by S. Kemp (on violin). ”Swathes of ambient sounds, emanating from near darkness - a perfect aural anaesthetic." - Whisperin' and Hollerin' The Home Current  The Home Current is the recording name of Danish musician Martin Holm. When not engaged with his Static Caravan act Iris To Hypnos, Martin is currently working on his debut solo album set to be released in early 2010 on new label Second Language. Further, Iris To Hypnos and Fieldhead have a split EP out on Static Caravan this autumn. Following a mini-tour with Fieldhead in Copenhagen and Malmø, The Home Current will give a vinyl only ambient DJ set. |
