Default Album of the Week

It was probably actually my week ages ago but I was after Smeg and he was the last to do one so I don't care.

Chrome Hoof - Pre-emptive False Rapture

I listened to this for the first time in ages the other day and remembered that it was completely amazing. Ridiculuosly insane 11 peice prog/rock/jazz//disco funk band but obviously way better than that sounds.

Spotify: spotify:album:5ZZZ7AOaRUXvXJgckBeIrD

I'll upload it later when I can be arsed.

I love this album sooooooo much. I saw them at Offset last year and they completely blew me away. This is the best Album of the Week so far.

My memories of Chrome Hoof stem from ATP: Portishead 2007, seeing them be amazing, Damo Suzuki playing with them, then bumping into Lola and Emma when looking for a chalet party, carting around speakers to bring the music and ending up at some Belgian dudes' chalet and having some amazing pills and dancing all night. Wonderful times. This album got stuck on last Saturday, much dancing in the flat oh yes.

Tried a tune on Myspace and suitably impressed, good shout. The vocals remind me of JJ72 a bit?!

On "the list" anyway.

I once saw them supporting Mouse on Mars and they were amazing. I was pretty excited at the prospect of being less than ten metres away from Mark E Smith at the time, so didn't expect to enjoy the support so much. But yeah, they were really fucking good and their outfits were excellent.

You're lying. I can always tell when you're lying.

I'm not bloomin' lying! They played at Heaven, supporting Mouse on Mars. Skream and Four Tet also supported. It was in October of 2007.

Play it louder. And then think this:

Then imagine a chaotic energetic live show and lots of fun.
