Default The Verve Thaw Session Download Debate - is it actually any good?!

This week saw The Verve make their trumpet-sounding, cymbol smashing, banners flying, fireworks flaring, long-awaited come-back with a very special world exclusive, right here on NME.COM . If you have downloaded the first fruits of the band's first recording session in years ? through NME.COM, then we would like to hear from you.

What's it like to hear Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Pete Salisbury back together in a room, making music? Do you think the download is actually any good? Should The Verve just have let sleeping dogs lie or is their come-back going to mark a new chapter in music?

I have always thought they were a bunch of overhyped nonsense. their music is so fucking dull and unexciting.

Default Great music

it's a shame if you don't get the verve, but for those of us who do the thaw session is the beautiful sound of four dazzlingly talented musicians saying hello to each other after a long time apart. They are giving us an insight into their creative process and it's music to lose yourself in. I could listen to stuff like this all day.
Well done lads for giving the fans such a cool and unexpected freebie, I really hope you can release more sessions in the future.
