All the B-sides will be available on the 10-inch single release of the single. 'Catapult' will be available as the B-side of the seven-inch single. All the song swill be available to download, but there will be no 'Cornerstone' CD release.

Although yet to release details, the band are set to team up with Oxfam again for the single release. They previously made the seven-inch vinyl of last single 'Crying Lightning' available to buy exclusively in branches of the charity shop.

'Cornerstone' will be the second single release from Arctic Monkeys' third album, 'Humbug', which was released in August.

I can't fucking believe they're releasing this. By far the worst song on a disappointing, mediocre album, all they're gonna do by releasing this is highlight to everyone how weak the lyrics are (Weak as fuck, in case you didn't know already...) and produce some shitty, heartfelt video to go with it. Pish. And by the way, if there's any cunt around that was willing them on when they were releasing their new album, worked on by the fuckin man himself BabyDuck Homme, it was me. So i'm not just being a greetin faced gimp. Seriously boys, you've let us down this time.Btw... what was wrong with bringing out, say, 'Potion approaching' or 'Pretty visitors'? Even 'Fire and the thud' would've done us nicely.

Cornerstone is to humbug what mardy bum was to whatever and what fluorescent was to favorite. I can see why they chose it as a single. Its going to be one of the more popular tracks on the album for the people who dont want to delve deeper into it. I personally think this album is a great listen and has its own feeling much like the other two. It seems arctic monkeys may be one of those bands who evolve throughout their career and take new steps with every album, but i dont see that as a bad thing. Whatever people say i am was a classic album but im glad we haven't heard two more albums from the arctics with no progression. Take note 'The Kooks'

I wonder if Alexxxxxxxxxxxxx now finds it ironic that he wrote Fake Tales of San Francisco.
