Biffy Clyro un-ban song at Brixton
Band surprise fans at London show
The Scot headlined the capital's Brixton Academy venue and took the stage wearing black suits to mark the occasion.
For one night only the band was joined by a string section to fully flesh out the two biggest tracks from current album 'Puzzle': '9/15ths' and former single 'Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies'.
'9/15ths' also featured a guest appearance from close friend Mike Vennart - whose band Oceansize provided support, playing a set showcasing new album 'Frames'.
After an emotional rendition of 'Machines', which Simon Neil performed solo, Biffy Clyro began their encore with 'Glitter And Trauma' as a torrent of glitter exploded from the rafters showering the audience.
However the biggest surprise of the night came during the gig's finale, when in an apparently snap decision the band played 'Folding Stars' - again joined by Vennart - which they had previously vowed never to play live again.
Biffy Clyro played:
'Saturday Superhouse'
'Who's Got a Match'
'Justboy'
'A Whole Child Ago'
'The Conversation Is...'
'Joy.Discovery.Invention'
'The Kids from Kibble And The Fist Of Light'
'All The Way Down'
'Living Is A Problem Because Everything Dies'
'Love Has A Diameter'
'Get Fucked Stud'
'My Recovery Injection'
'Toys Toys Toys Choke Toys Toys Toys'
'Now I'm Everyone'
'9/15ths'
'Machines'
'Glitter And Trauma'
'As Dust Dances'
'Folding Stars'
'57'
The band conclude their UK tour at Norwich's UEA tonight (November 22).
