Britney Spears' label sues Perez Hilton
Celebrity blogger is said to have posted new songs illegally
The label claim that the gossip web site illegally posted the songs from Spears forthcoming album ’Blackout’ due on October 29.
The suit was filed in the US District Court in Los Angeles and accused the web site and the webmaster Mario Lavanderia of illegally obtaining and posting at least 10 completed songs and unfinished demos.
The suit does not specify the amount of monetary damages but asks for "real and punitive damages as well as legal costs". The label owns the copyright to Spears recordings.
Zomba said Spears was not a party in the lawsuit, reports MSNBC.
