Charges against Spears dropped in hit-and-run case
Pop star may still face misdemeanour counts
Spears' attorney said the pop star had reached an agreement with the person whose car she struck on August 6 in a Los Angeles parking lot.
Spears still faces the misdemeanour count of driving without a license when the accident happened. Her attorney entered a 'not guilty' plea to that charge on her behalf today, reports Reuters.
The next hearing on the matter is set for November 26, but Spears will not be required to appear.
If convicted of the misdemeanour charge, Spears would likely receive probation rather than jail time, said a city attorney spokesperson.
