Friendly Fires to release Brazilian-style summer single Friendly Fires Tickets

Band preparing for 'Kiss Of Life'

Friendly Fires have revealed that they are planning to reveal a Brazilian-flavoured new single, 'Kiss Of Life', this summer.

Frontman Ed Macfarlane told NME.COM that the St Albans band planned to release the song, which was produced by Paul Epworth, this August - and may follow it with a South American tour.

"We plan to release it in August – all the rhythms are traditional samba rhythms," he explained. "All our brass layers from our recent tour drum for the London School Of Samba, so they've been giving us some ideas."

Friendly Fires are due to play at the Glastonbury festival tomorrow (June 26), with Macfarlane adding that he would love to follow it with a jaunt further afield.

"Fingers crossed we're going to be doing Rio, Sao Paolo, Brasilia, Santiago and maybe somewhere else in Chile," he explained.
