Kaiser Chiefs 'not dropped by record label'

Ricky Wilson and co deny tabloid claims

Kaiser Chiefs have denied tabloid reports that they have been dropped by their record label.

A story in today's (May 17) News Of The World suggested the band's agreement with B-Unique had been terminated.

However, a spokesman for the band told NME.COM there is "no contractual change to report".

"The band has two records left to run on an existing contract," they said. "Kaiser Chiefs will take their first break in six years at the end of the summer. As with many successful artists, the band is considering creative options to improve the way their music reaches people ahead of their fourth album."

The representative did confirm one part of the news report was true, however - that guitarist Andrew 'Whitey' White is to become a father "any day now".

shityourlegoff, there you go again, shooting your mouth off. Its very big of you to sit in your bedroom slagging bands off, when to their faces you'd be sucking them off! Get on with your revision stupid boy.

Le sigh... always this negativity, if you don't like a band, why bother spending time and energy in saying something about them? Though I do hope their next album will be better than the previous one.

I'm not in my bedroom, I'm in your mum's bedroom you ball-licker. And if the Kunter Chiefs were here I'd kick them in their shit, pretentious faces before doing a poo on them, and then on you. I bet you'd like that.

Kaiser Chiefs are a fantastic band, hope they have a good break and all the best to Whitey and his family. As for shityourlegoff, looking through your comments both here and on other articles, you really should get anger management therapy, you clearly need professional help. And do I read that correctly? You wish your big sweaty balls had dropped? That explains a lot.

Kaiser's have got a good, strong fanbase. Strong enough for them not to give a monkeys about pathetic little comments on here. The band try and take a break after touring the world for 5 years and it gets reported that there're being dropped. It's nice it's been cleared up somewhere. And congratulations to Whitey, some thing to keep him occupied during the break.

It shouldnt be about the record company dropping them, the general music loving public should be dropping them off the tallest cliff in the UK! Head first, pretty god damn awful. shityourlefoff, shit head more like!

I think the band has done a fantastic job so far. I like their music. Their Lyrics are relatable and fun to listen to! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS! And to Whitey: Congratulations on becoming a father! Have fun on your break guys. Don't take off too long though ;-)!Greetings from Germany! Yours Truly, Roland!
