Proceeds from the limited-edition T-shirts created by the star's clothing label Made In Detroit will go toward the Kid Rock Scholarship, which will aid students studying music performance and music business at the Detroit university.
The T-shirt features the school's logo with an image of a factory worker carrying a wrench centred inside it.
Kid Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, is originally from the Detroit area.
