Klaxons: 'New album and festival shows for 2009' Klaxons Tickets

Band say they'll hit the live circuit hard next year

Klaxons have told NME.COM that they are aiming to finish recording their second album before Christmas, release it in early 2009 then "play every festival possible" in the summer.

The London band said that they were planning on touring the world after the release of their next effort, which will feature the songs 'Moonhead' and 'Valley Of The Calm Trees' and will be produced by James Ford, who produced the group's 2007 debut, 'Myths Of The Near Future'.

Despite playing the new songs during a whistle-stop world tour recently, band member Jamie Reynolds warned fans not to pre-judge the album.

"By no means are those songs any indication of which way the album's going," he told NME.COM. "It [the album] sounds intricate at the moment.

"Half of it sounds like you're holding on for dear life – intense and nervous – and the other half sounds like when you don't care and you float off."

Outlining the band's plans before they headed to France with Ford to complete recording, Reynolds added, ""With any joy we'll finish [the album] before Christmas then play every festival possible and go around the world twice!"
