Bon Jovi joins ex-Nirvana members in condemning Guitar Hero over Kurt Cobain

Rocker says he's on Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic's side

Jon Bon Jovi has joined ex-Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic in condemning the makers of Guitar Hero over their use of Kurt Cobain.

In new game 'Guitar Hero 5' late Nirvana frontman Cobain is able to appear singing other acts' songs, including those by Bon Jovi.

Grohl and Novoselic had slammed Acitivion, the makers of the game, for allowing Cobain's character to be used in such a way.

They asked for the game to be re-programmed, while Courtney Love, Cobain's widow, disputed Activision's claim that she had given permission for the character to appear and threatened to sue.

Now Jon Bon Jovi has said he's not a fan of the idea of Cobain's character fronting his songs. "I don't know that I would have wanted it either," he told BBC News. "To hear someone else's voice coming out of a cartoon version of me? I don't know. It sounds a little forced."
