Portishead finish new album

Portishead's Geoff Barrow has announced that the band is one day away from completing their third full-length album.

In a posting today (October 23) on the band's website, Barrow wrote that the band have been in London finishing up the long-awaited follow-up to their 1997 self-titled album.

"I think one more day messing about with it and it will be done. Then into the wonderful world of mastering," he wrote.

Barrow added that the band are now "working on some artwork and getting the live stuff together".

He also said that the band are preparing for All Tomorrow's Parties, where he may put together a football team with co-headliner Madlib.

All Tomorrow's Parties is set to take place December 7-9 at Butlins Holiday Centre in Minehead.
