Ra Ra Riot set to work with Gossip/Stephen Malkmus man

Band will record debut album with Ryan Hadlock later this year

Ra Ra Riot are gearing up to record their debut album next month.

The band will record the album in two sessions at Bear Creek Studios with producer Ryan Hadlock, whose previous work includes sessions with Blonde Redhead, and Stephen Malkmus.

Among the tracks scheduled for recording are ‘Too Fast’ and ‘St. Peter’s Day Festival’, as well as a number of tracks from their recent EP, which will be reworked for the album.

The band were approached by Hadlock after seeing them play at South By Southwest earlier this year.

The band have just completed a UK tour with Editors, as well as performing at the Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavík.

Meanwhile, three dates are scheduled in the US, including a show to benefit the John Ryan Pike Memorial Foundation.

Ra Ra Riot's drummer Pike passed away earlier this year following a tragic accident.

The band call at:

Washington Rock N Roll Hotel (November 30)
Brooklyn Union Hall (December 1)
Cambridge Middle East (15)
