Siouxsie pays tribute to John Peel at Electric Proms

Plus airs new material from 'Mantaray'
Punk icon Siouxsie Sioux debuted a selection of songs from her new album 'Mantaray' at the Electric Proms in London last night (October 24).
Sioux, clad from head to foot in tight leather and sporting a wild Banshees-era hairdo, was performing at Camden’s Electric Ballroom for the Electric Proms’ John Peel Night, in honour of the late broadcaster, who died three years ago.
The singer's previous band, Siouxsie And The Banshees, were originally signed when punk-loving Peel thrust them into the spotlight with one of his legendary Peel Sessions in the late 1970s.
Sioux aired new single ‘Here Comes That Day’, released next week (October 29), plus new material from her latest solo album, alongside old Banshees favourites, including ‘Dear Prudence’ and ‘Hong Kong Garden’. She finished the gig with a cover of The Doors’ classic ‘Hello, I Love You’.
