Pete Doherty: 'Libertines have to reform, it's unfinished business'

Listen to NME Radio's exclusive interview at noon tomorrow (Mar 6)

Pete Doherty has declared that The Libertines reunion will definitely happen.

The singer outlines his plans for his former band with Carl Barat in an interview with NME Radio which will broadcast tomorrow (March 6) at noon (GMT).

"Well, its going to happen," he told presenter Neil Cole. "Its unfinished business, isn't it?"

In the interview Doherty also discusses his plans to bring Graham Coxon on the road with him for his solo tour, though revealed that old friend and collaborator Wolfman would not be coming, as the pair recently fell out.

Listen to the full interview tomorrow at noon (and repeated again on Saturday, March 7) via Sky 0184, Virgin Media 975, Freesat 727 and NME.COM/radio.

For F**ks sake, let it go. Are you so out of any ideas that you have to keep going back to the well just to keep people interested in you? Carl managed to do it, why can't you? The Libertines are done, leave them that way and write something worth listening to.

Olliecs, how exactly has Carl managed to keep people interested in him compared to Peter? It's not as if Peter needs The Libertines to reform anywhere near as much as Carl does. A solo album in the next couple of weeks and a third Babyshambles album in the pipeline, compared to Carl's less successful post-Libertine career, two crap Dirty Pretty Things' Albums before being dropped and relegated to supporting the likes of Glasvegas solo. I personally agree that The Libertines should be left well alone but for Carl, if it isn't a Libertines reunion who knows where he'll be in a couple of years? Panto beckons....
