The band play Shockwaves NME Awards show

The Long Blondes played a number of rarities at their Shockwaves NME Awards Show in London tonight (February 20).

As well as playing songs from their album ’Someone To Drive You Home’ the band raced through b-sides ’Five Ways To End It’ and ’Fulwood Babylon’

Commenting on the fact the Astoria is being closed down, front woman Kate Jackson said: "We just heard that the Astoria is closing down. We're gutted about it."

Proceedings tonight kicked off with performances from Brighton’s Brakes, the hotly tipped Fields and These New Puritans.

They played:

‘Lust In The Movies’
‘Weekend Without Make Up’
‘Once And Never Again’
‘Fulwood Babylon’
‘Heaven Help The New Girl’
‘Knife For The Girls’
‘Only Lovers Left Alive’
‘Swallow Tattoo’
‘Madam Ray’
‘You Could Have Both’
‘Giddy Stratospheres’
