The Ting Tings play intimate arthouse gig

The Ting Tings played an intimate late night gig at the Islington Mill flat/studio complex in Salford early yesterday morning (October 20).

The band, who recently signed to Columbia Records, played five songs in the basement arthouse of the complex, where they had erected an art wall for fans to paint on. The finished painting will be photographed and used as the cover art for editions of a new single to be sold at a forthcoming Berlin gig.

Wearing black shorts and a top and visor, singer and guitarist Katie White mounted amps then bashed a large bass drum during the set, while drummer Jules De Martino wore metallic aviator sunglasses throughout.

After the gig, the band retired to their flats above the complex to party.
