U2 stream 'Magnificent' remixes, unveil new video

They also release double album of rarities

U2 are streaming six remixes of their new single 'Magnificent' from their website as well as a Justice remix of 'Get On Your Boots'.

The 'Magnificent' remixes were done by Pete Tong, Redanka, Fred Falke, and Adam K and Soha, and are streaming alongside the new video for the track, which was shot in Fez, Morocco. They can be previewed here.

Meanwhile, the 'Magnificent' video can be viewed here, and behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the video can also be viewed here.

In addition, Bono and company have just released 'U2 Medium, Rare And Remastered', a limited-edition double album featuring rare tracks and lost early cuts from recording sessions that led to the studio albums 'The Joshua Tree', 'Rattle and Hum', 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' and 'How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb'. It also includes digitally remastered songs from early albums, and rare B-sides from 2000 to 2005. It is only available to U2.com subscribers.

U2 are preparing to embark on a world tour in support of their most recent album, 'No Line On The Horizon', which kicks off next month in Barcelona.

The release of War Child's 'Heroes' album has been confirmed for February 16. The project sees music legends such as U2, Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan choose younger artists including Duffy and Rufus Wainwright to cover one of their songs. Originally, the album was due to be released on November 22. However, as word about the project spread, organisers were inundated with requests from other bands wanting to take part.
