NME Reviews

Queens Of The Stone Age

Sick, Sick, Sick (Interscope)

Josh Homme may have unwittingly relinquished his crown as the coolest redheaded man in the world of hard rock, but he still knows how to make music that is the ideal soundtrack to woolly mammoths having sex. This is classic QOTSA, all bludgeoning riffola and skull-cracking drums, but when you listen to the riffs, it’s also a little bit funky as well.
