“If I hear one person talking about these days… I will explode!” So Barry and Ross sing on the opening line of the ’Heads’ comeback. OK, come the chorus they’re referring to the space-time continuum instead of their time as indie frontliners but you can’t help reading that into it. Dropped, unfairly attached to a cover song and weighed down by a disappointing second album, it all looked dark for the angular barbershop quartet. Thankfully, ‘Broke Up The Time’ is the type of joyous headshaker that made everyone fall in love with them first time round. Phew! Career saved/re-invented just in time.
