The Spinto Band

Summer Grof

Following in the The Futureheads’ “Dropped? Bothered!” school of resilience, everyone’s favourite pre-Vampire Weekend happy-go-lucky jumper-wearers are back with a set of songs produced without label backing. This first one is less whimsical than before, with a muscular bassline and tripping-over-itself, puppyishly hyper drumming. “I won’t lie/’Cept this time” promises Nick Krill. Butter wouldn’t melt, eh?
