The Hold Steady
Brooklyn-based The Hold Steady is: Craig Finn (guitar, vocals), Tad Kubler (guitar), Franz Nicolay (keyboards and accordion), Bob Drake (drums), Galen Polivka (bass). They have recorded four albums – Almost Killed Me (2004), Separation Sunday (2005), Live At Lollapalooza 2006: The Hold Steady (2006) and Boys And Girls In America (2006). The band recently played as special guests at NME's sister publication Uncut's 10th birthday at the Blue Fin Building in London.

Art Brut
London based Brits, Art Brut is: Eddie Argos (vocals), Ian Catskilkin (guitar), Freddy Feedback (bass), Jasper Future (guitar), Mikey Breyer (drums). Art Brut have recorded two albums – Bang Bang Rock And Roll (2006) and It's A Bit Complicated (2007). Eddie Argos appeared naked in NME recently in a mock-up of the infamous Beth Ditto naked front cover.
